From Goals to Gains: Our Step-by-Step Process
Alignment & Review
The tutor opens the session with a brief progress update for the parent followed by reviewing previous practice questions and clarifying the student's current areas of focus.
Goal Setting
The tutor establishes a specific and attainable learning objective for the current session to ensure both student and tutor are working toward a clear outcome.
Instruction & Guided Practice
The tutor explains new concepts and demonstrates examples. This is followed by guided practice where the student begins applying the concept with real-time support.
Independent Application and Clarification
The student works through exercises and challenging tasks independently. The tutor remains available to address questions and correct any misconceptions as they arise.
Progress Update and Wrap-Up
The tutor summarises the session's achievements and assigns practice questions to the student that shall be reviewed at the next session. The tutor closes the session by sharing a progress update with parents.
