I love nothing more than to see a student realise that they are able to do their work… and even enjoy it! I love coaching because it gives me a chance to use the skills I have to help children meet their own goals, and to get excited about their options for life after school.
Before I founded Aussin Tutoring in 2014, I had worked in different roles such as
I had worked extensively with top training institutes worldwide in the USA, Singapore, China and Australia for more than 20 years.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (NTU in Singapore) and a Master's degree in Computer Science (GSU in the USA).
I am passionate about education and believe that teaching is the best job in the world! It is a great experience to witness a learner grasp something for the first time. I aim to equip students with the knowledge and tools they need to develop confidence and thrive.

Aussin Tutoring's weekly 75-minutes online 1-on-1 tutoring classes are run by our founder Adam Yu (20+ years expert coaching expeience) and cover all sections of Selective School and Scholarship Test. They are highly interactive, giving you an opportunity to ask questions in real time and discuss questions you find difficult. This is an invaluable, regular tuition service to maintain continuous training up until your BIG DAY.

The contents and structures of our tutoring classes are designed to develop our students in the following key areas:
- Writing skills
- Reading comprehension skills
- Verbal reasoning skills
- Numerical reasoning skills
- Mathematical problem solving skills
- Competency and creativity in writing across a range of text types
- Advanced vocabulary, grammar, usage and punctuation skills
- Exam techniques and confidence
Each weekly session break-down:
- Review and discuss student’s areas of focus
- Review previous session's assigned practice questions
- Set learning goal for the current session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for the learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work though any challenges
- Reflect on what has been achieved in the current session
- Q&A
- Assign practice questions that shall be reviewed in the following session
Each weekly session is 75 minutes long. This allows sufficient time not only for explanations but reinforcement by applying the new knowledge.
Each session is delivered online (ZOOM) and will cover all sections and all subjects as required in the test.
Homework is assigned to the student after each class.
Classes can be delivered during school holidays upon parent's request.
Parents can choose to be billed by every 4 classes (regular rate) or by every 8 classes (discount rate).
Your payments are stored as credit points under your child's student account. No credit point deduction if no class is delivered.
No sign-up fee. No lock-in contract. Either party may discontinue anytime, no question asked.
